Position Description

Applications are invited for an Anatomic Pathology Sessional Instructor position in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) for the 2017-2018 academic year. The position involves participation in clinical and practicum rotation, and pathology discipline courses in the DVM program. Travel between the two UCVM campuses in Calgary (Foothills Campus and Spy Hill Campus; approximately 18 km apart) is required, with teaching taking place at both locations.

Qualifications include a DVM degree, with appropriate expertise in veterinary anatomic pathology.  Appropriate expertise may include an advanced degree, board certification, or equivalent clinical experience. Licensure with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association is required.

UCVM’s DVM program combines a comprehensive general veterinary education with enhanced opportunities in selected areas. The integrated core-elective curriculum combines discipline-based courses with extensive on-campus and off-campus practical learning. UCVM uses a distributed veterinary learning community including public and private practice partners to deliver its fourth year practicum program.
