Position Description

Applications are invited for Sessional Instructor positions in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for various time periods between August 1, 2017 and May 31, 2018. The position involves participation in clinical practicum rotations, and a discipline course in the DVM program (clinical pathology). Willingness to travel to participate in teaching experiences is required in many instances, with teaching taking place at the Foothills Campus, and Spy Hill Campus.

A sessional faculty position is available in the following area:

  • Clinical Pathology

Qualifications include a DVM degree, with appropriate expertise in the designated area. Appropriate expertise may include an advanced degree, board certification, or equivalent clinical experience in the designated area.

UCVM’s DVM program combines a comprehensive general veterinary education with enhanced opportunities in selected areas. The integrated core-elective curriculum combines discipline-based courses with extensive on-campus and off-campus practical learning. UCVM uses a distributed veterinary learning community including public and private practice partners to deliver its fourth year practicum program.
